I have problems with my built in bluetooth connection (no dial tone, apparently, it just suddenly stopped working) and I keep getting an 'unknown usb device' message. Nothing plugged in.
I've searched high and low, the Internet knows nothing.

Help? Sad

Driver issue, probably. Go to the manufacturer's website and maybe see if you can download the driver for your device and re-install it.

Oh oh -

This is embarrassingly stupid.

I have a mac and need to uninstall something. I can't find the uninstaller for the programme in the programme files, nor can I find a sort of generic mac uninstaller.

The point is it's sims 2, and every time I put the disc in it asks me to put the expansions pack sims disc in, but I don't have that with me, so I think sod the expansion, I just wanna play sims 2 basic. So I want to uninstall the expansion. BUT I can't find out how!

Please... a whole household of hot sailors in open shirts depend on it.

Throwing the files away should uninstall them.

Thanks, Izzee M!

I did that already... and then I did spotlight search to see if I could find any remaining expansion pack files (open for business) and deleted the ones I found... no luck.

Oh dear. Well, computer is due for overhaul anyway when I get back to the UK. I'll install system fifty billion or whatever it is we're supposed to be using, and add sims 3, and forget the whole thing for now. Sad

If your Mac is as old as mine (4 years+), we don't have the right graphics card for Sims 3. :'(

Sad Sad Sad

Sims 2 already snerks at my hardware and says the equivalent of 'Knock yourself out, but don't expect me to work well on this piece of crap'.

Did you try simply re-installing Sims 2 fresh?

I don't know much about Apple computers, unfortunately.
